After many years on the supervisory bodies of Gröner Group AG, Dr Peter Haueisen has resigned his mandate and thus his function for personal reasons. Former EU Commissioner and lawyer Günther H. Oettinger, who has been a member of the Supervisory Board for several years, was unanimously elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gröner Group AG.

Dr Peter Haueisen has played a key role in shaping the Group’s current profile. His time in office, first as Chairman of the Advisory Board and later as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, saw important milestones such as the establishment of the flagship and subsidiary CG Elementum AG as an in-house service provider for project development and construction with a focus on BIM/prefabrication and sustainability/CO2 zero emissions.

Christoph Gröner, CEO of Gröner Group AG, expressed his sincere thanks to Dr Haueisen for the many years of intensive and trusting collaboration. “His critical spirit, his positive entrepreneurship and his innovative strength have strengthened our company and me in difficult times. I personally wish him all the best and will always be grateful to him,” said Gröner.

Ronald Pofalla, COO of Gröner Group AG, emphasised Dr Haueisen’s extensive experience, with which he had enriched and advanced the company: “His overview and expertise always impressed me, I enjoyed working with him and regret his departure,” said Pofalla.

“It has given me great pleasure to witness and support the founding of the group of companies and to have helped drive the Gröner Group’s focus on the massive CO2 reduction of a property. I believe the company is well positioned and wish it continued success in the future,” said Dr Peter Haueisen on his departure.

The new Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Günther H. Oettinger, is another experienced head to take office. From 2005 to 2010, Oettinger was Minister-President of the state of Baden-Württemberg and from 2010 to 2019 Commissioner of the European Union for Energy, Digital Economy and Society as well as for Budget and Human Resources. He has been President of EBS University of Business and Law (Wiesbaden/Oestrich-Winkel) since 2021.

“I would like to thank Günther H. Oettinger for the many years of successful cooperation and look forward to working with him as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Gröner Group,” says CEO Christoph Gröner.

“We are facing important decisions with regard to the challenges of a changing market, and I am taking on this responsibility. I want to help drive the company’s orientation towards a sustainable future,” said Günther H. Oettinger on his election as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gröner Group AG.

Zum Aufsichtsrat gehören neben dem neuen Vorsitzenden Günther H. Oettinger die ehemalige Vorstandsvorsitzende In addition to the new Chairman Günther H. Oettinger, the Supervisory Board includes the former CEO of GASAG AG and Berliner Stadtreinigung Vera Gäde-Butzlaff, the Deputy Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of the Gröner Group, the long-standing Daimler board member and former Deutsche Bahn CEO Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Grube, the entrepreneur Dr. Ulrich Metz, who specialises in organisational consulting and the implementation of information technology, and the Managing Director of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy for International Affairs Dr. Mayssoun Zein Al Din.

Following a structural reorganisation of the Gröner Group and the resulting even clearer focus on sustainability, digitalisation and growth, the Group is in an excellent strategic position.
