STADTLANDHAVEL | Berlin
Elegant mix of heritage industrial buildings and new architecture
Kleine Eiswerderstrasse is in the green and peaceful area of Haselhorst in north-western Berlin, about 20 minutes from the city centre.
The site, which is just moments away from the Havel river and Eiswerder island, currently contains listed heritage buildings and a historic water tower built in the style of a castle. This was once part of the former Royal Gunpowder Factory and will be a charming core feature and centre point for the residential quarter to come. The construction project will create 195 residential units and involves renovating and revitalising the existing buildings in line with conservation guidelines. An expansion with five new buildings and an underground car park will all be in keeping with the original.
