Lars Schnidrig appointed Managing Director (CFO) of the Gröner Group

Berlin-based Gröner Group GmbH is adding to its management team: Lars Schnidrig (49) will become managing director (CFO) of the nationwide real estate developer effective March 15, 2022.

Neu in der Geschäftsführung der Gröner Group: Lars Schnidrig.

Schnidrig was most recently CEO and CFO for the European asset and investment manager Corestate Capital and previously held a senior position at Vonovia SE. Within Gröner Group, he will assume responsibility for Finance and Capital Markets.

The members of the advisory board of Gröner Group, Dr. Peter Haueisen (Chairman), Vera Gäde-Butzlaff, Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Grube and Dr. Ulrich Metz support the decision to add Lars Schnidrig to the management board as well as the associated capital market orientation of the group of companies. Dr. Peter Haueisen said: “With his many years of experience in capital market-oriented growth companies, Gröner Group is gaining a managing director in Lars Schnidrig who will drive the capital market capability and growth of Gröner Group.”

The founder and managing director of the Gröner Group, Christoph Gröner, sees Lars Schnidrig as a “seasoned co-entrepreneur”. He emphasized: “Inspiring Lars Schnidrig to implement our strategy and vision is a great asset for our company. He has been as entrepreneurial over the past 20 years as few others who do not own their company themselves. That’s why we’re a good fit, and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Schnidrig, who was born in Switzerland, is also pleased to become part of the Gröner Group: “The Gröner Group places sustainability at the center of project development through its subsidiary CG Elementum. This is fully in line with my understanding of a modern real estate industry whose task is to use green technology sensibly to protect the climate in construction and management. Here I would like to continue on the path taken by Christoph Gröner and see us together in the Gröner Group excellently positioned.”

Lars Schnidrig takes over the baton from Frank Gröner, who as a proven organization expert successfully accompanied the establishment of the Gröner Group. Together with Josephine Heigel, Frank Gröner will focus on the management of the Gröner family office. The significantly increased business volume of the family office and the implementation of the future growth strategy with investments in other European countries require full attention and management capacity. In addition, for compliance reasons, the last organizational links of the Gröner Group with the Family Office will be severed in the summer of 2022, with Christoph Gröner stepping down from the management of the Family Office in parallel with Frank Gröner’s departure from the Gröner Group. In the future, the management of Gröner Group will consist of Christoph Gröner, Ulf Graichen and Lars Schnidrig.
